Książka zawiera materiały z XXI Sympozjum Metafizycznego (6 XII 2018 r.) z cyklu „Zadania współczesnej metafizyki” poświęconego rozumieniu metafizyki w kontekście sporów i różnych tradycji filozoficznych. Celem dyskusji w ramach sympozjum była odpowiedź na pytanie: czym jest metafizyka, a także co jest jej przedmiotem. Okazją do podjęcia refleksji na ten temat była 10. rocznica śmierci o. M. A. Krąpca, jednego z najwybitniejszych współczesnych metafizyków, współzałożyciela Filozoficznej Szkoły Lubelskiej. Publikacja składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej znalazły miejsce rozważania o specyfice metafizyki. Druga część dotyczy przedmiotu metafizyki, trzecia – roli doświadczenia w punkcie wyjścia poznania metafizycznego. Czwarta część książki omawia wkład M. A. Krąpca we współczesną kulturę i filozofię. Zwrócono przede wszystkim uwagę na rolę o. Krąpca w budowaniu współczesnej wersji metafizyki realistycznej oraz wydobyciu specyfiki poznania metafizycznego; omówiono ponadto wkład o. Krąpca w fundowanie podstaw metafizyk szczegółowych: antropologii filozoficznej, filozofii prawa, filozofii kultury, filozofii uniwersytetu. W książce zamieszczono wybrane artykuły o. Krąpca o metafizyce, doświadczeniu, zdrowym rozsądku, a także obszerną bibliografię tematyczną i indeks osobowy.

In the 10th anniversary of the death of Father Mieczysław A. Krąpiec, OP
in the series „Tasks of the Contemporary Metaphysics”

The book contains materials from the 21st Metaphysical Symposium (6 December 2018) in the series "Tasks of the Contemporary Metaphysics" devoted to the understanding of metaphysics in the context of disputes and various philosophical traditions. The purpose of the symposium was to answer the question: what metaphysics is and what is its matter-object. An opportunity to reflect on this topic was the 10th anniversary of the death of Father M. A. Krąpiec, one of the greatest contemporary metaphysicians, co-founder of the Lublin Philosophical School. The publication contains four parts. In the first there is a consideration of the specificity of metaphysics. The second part concerns the matter-object of metaphysics, the third concerns the role of experience at the starting point of metaphysical cognition. The fourth part of the book discusses the contribution of M. A. Krąpiec to contemporary culture and philosophy. Particular attention was paid to the role of Father Krąpiec in building a contemporary version of realistic metaphysics and indication of the specificity of metaphysical cognition. There was also disscused Father Krąpiec's contribution to founding the foundations of particular metaphysics: philosophical anthropology, philosophy of law, philosophy of culture, and philosophy of university. The book includes selected articles written by Father Krąpiec on metaphysics, experience, common sense, as well as a thematic bibliography and index of persons.
