Analizy przedstawione w niniejszej rozprawie stanowią inspirującą propozycję, nadającą się do zastosowania na gruncie współczesnych badań dotyczących problematyki związanej z kulturą. Celem analiz jest ukazanie filozoficznych i antropologicznych podstaw sporu o kulturę, zwłaszcza w perspektywie sporu o kulturę wysoką i kulturę niską. Perspektywa metafizyczno-antropologiczna zaproponowana w książce ukazuje oryginalny projekt filozoficznego wyjaśniania kultury wysokiej jako analogicznego zwieńczenia kultury w ogóle. Autorka stara się wykazać, iż rozstrzygnięcie sporu o kulturę wymaga ostatecznie rozstrzygnięcia sporu o człowieka, uzyskania odpowiedzi na pytanie: co rzeczywiście aktualizuje jego potencjalności, sprawiając, że coraz bardziej staje się człowiekiem i coraz bardziej żyje po ludzku. Autorka uzasadnia, iż jest to możliwe jedynie na gruncie filozofii, która poprzez odwołanie do ludzkiej struktury bytowej daje odpowiedź na pytanie o istotę kultury, jej miejsce i rolę w życiu osobowym człowieka, jako jej podmiotu i celu. Kultura w niniejszej książce ujęta została zatem przy pomocy kategorii metafizycznych, zarówno w wymiarze historycznym, jak i systemowym, z uwzględnieniem wyjaśnień dokonanych na gruncie antropologii filozoficznej.

From Paidéia to High Culture.
The Philosophical-Anthropological Basis of a Dispute about Culture

The analyzes presented in this paper are an inspiring proposal, suitable for use to the modern research on issues related to culture. The aim of the analysis is to show the philosophical and anthropological basis of the dispute about the culture, especially in view of the dispute about high culture and low culture. The metaphysical-anthropological perspective proposed in the book shows the original project of the philosophical explanation of high culture as an analogical development of culture in general. The author tries to show that the resolution of the dispute about the culture requires finally a settlement of the dispute about the man, answering the question: what actually actualizes his potentialities, making him to increasingly become a man, and more and more lives humanely. The author justifies that this is possible only on the basis of the philosophy and so by referring to the human ontological structure, gives the answer to the question about the essence of culture, its place and role in the personal life of man as its subject and purpose. Culture in this book, therefore, was recognized with metaphysical categories, both in historical and system point of view, including explanations made on the basis of philosophical anthropology.
