Celem tej publikacji, z serii "Zeszyty z metafizyki" jest wprowadzenie Czytelnika w nową kulturowo-filozoficzną sytuację, z jaką spotyka się w filozofii współczesnej, gdy podejmuje studia z metafizyki realistycznej. W pierwszej części "Zeszytu" został przedstawiony zarys metafizyki realistycznej, która wyróżnia się autonomią tak co do przedmiotu badań, jak i co do metody oraz celu. Jest typem poznania, które funduje wiedzę rozumiejącą i mądrościową. W drugiej części "Zeszytu" zostały ukazane dzieje i przyczyny wyodrębnienia się ontologii, jako odrębnej obok metafizyki dyscypliny, oraz omówione różnorodne typy nowożytnych i współczesnych ontologii. Czytelnik może zatem dowiedzieć się, że to, co dziś nazywa się "ontologią" niewiele ma wspólnego z ogólną teorią bytu, czyli metafizyką.

in the series "Notebooks on Metaphysics" vol. 7

The purpose of this publication, in the series of "Notebooks of Metaphysics", is to introduce the reader into a new cultural and philosophical situation in contemporary scholarship, which confronts the study on realistic metaphysics. In the first part of "The Notebook" an outline of realistic metaphysics is presented, which stands out as autonomous with regard to the object of cognition, as well as on the method and purpose. It is the kind of cognition that grounds the wisdom-oriented and ratiocinative knowledge. In the second part of "The Notebook" the history and causes of the emergence of ontology are shown, as a separate discipline alongside metaphysics, and the various types of modern and contemporary ontology are also discussed. The reader can thus find out that contrary to popular suppositions, what today is called "ontology" has much less in common with the general theory of being, that is metaphysics.
