Książka Język i świat realny jest trzecim wydanie klasycznej – jak na czasy współczesne – rozprawy z dziedziny filozofii języka, a ściślej z metafizyki języka. Język odgrywał i ciągle odgrywa bardzo ważną, jeśli wręcz nie zasadniczą, rolę w życiu i kulturze społeczeństw ludzkich. Autor wskazuje na nierozerwalną triadę: świat – poznanie – język, w której język jest narzędziem komunikacji rezultatów poznania świata osób i rzeczy. Zwraca uwagę Czytelnika, że we współczesnej komunikacji społecznej, język zamiast informować o rzeczywistości czy naprowadzać na jej widzenie, często rzeczywistość tę przysłania, a niekiedy i kreuje. Skutkiem tego, zamiast być środkiem porozumienia się pomiędzy ludźmi, staje się narzędziem manipulacji. W nowym wydaniu zostały zweryfikowane cytowane teksty zapisy bibliograficzne oraz usunięte zauważone błędy redakcyjne. Została też zaktualizowana literatura oraz sporządzony indeks osobowy i przedmiotowy.

The book Language and the Real World is the third edition of a classic - as in modern times - the monograph in the field of philosophy of language, and more specifically with the metaphysics of language. Language has played and still plays a very important essential role in the life and culture of human societies. The author points to the inseparable triad: the world – the cognition - the language in which the language is a tool for communicating the results of the knowledge of the world of people and things. The reader can note that in modern social communication, language instead of serving to inform about reality or be the guide to its cognition, often obscures this reality, and sometimes creates unreal reality. Hence, instead of being a means of communication between people, it becomes a tool of manipulation. The new edition of the book has revised texts quoted, bibliography and removed noticed editorial errors. It has also updated literature and prepared an index of names and index of subject.
