The first in the history of Polish culture, the two-volume The Encyclopaedia of Polish Philosophy covers the period of the formation of the philosophy since the thirteenth century until modern times. It shows those problems and schools revealing the richness of the heritage of Polish philosophy. Encyclopaedia testifies that in most areas of philosophy, as well as within the auxiliary sciences of philosophy, Polish thinkers have achieved valuable and original results. There are resourceful entries on logic and methodology, philosophy of law and politics, ethics and aesthetics, metaphysics and anthropology, philosophy of culture and philosophy of nature, or philosophy of God and religion. Encyclopaedia presents the original theories that have been developed by the Polish thinkers, for example in the theory of logic and mathematics - Polish notation, systems of logic, the logic of norms; in ethics: independent ethics, ethical personalism; in metaphysics and anthropology: realistic metaphysics, metaphysical personalism, transcendental analogy, in the history of philosophy - editions of philosophical texts; in the philosophy of law and politics - theory of politics, civilization, solidarity, human rights and the rights of nations.
