The book contains a lecture of realistic philosophy of religion (metaphysics of religion). This perspective allows us to answer two basic questions - what religion is and why it exists, that is, what are the reasons for its existence. The author suggests that religion is a way of fulfillment of man. Essential for religion is the conscious and free choice of man for God which affects the whole life and becomes the basis for all other choices, giving human existence and human action the ultimate meaning. The truth about the nature and sources of religion, which indicates the realistic philosophy - as the author points out – has got particular importance in the current cultural situation in which a collision of two adverse phenomenon: the crisis of truth about man and the crisis of the meaning of human life – is experienced in our age.
